Your City Hall Is Getting Sweeter, Literally
Good morning from the island — we're still here, the orcas were spotted at Active Pass, and honestly, life is fine. Well, here's the thing about your City Hall, it seems to be in the business of fostering joy, or at least, the business of ice cream.
We've seen two new business licenses issued to Hazels Ice Cream Ltd., both for "Bicycle Vendor" operations, according to the recent city data. That's Licenses #40784 and #40447, both mobile. This means more chances for a sweet treat to roll right up to you, perhaps near Beacon Hill Park, where the deer already rule the roost, or down in James Bay as you stroll.
Beyond the delightful, there’s also a new veterinary clinic for our furry friends, Downtown Veterinary Clinic, setting up shop at 736 Caledonia Avenue. This is Licence #22734, for those keeping track. And for those seeking a bit of retro fun, Arcadia, an "Amusement Centre," is now licensed at 707 Johnson Street, Licence #48095. It seems our city is quietly but surely expanding its offerings for both pleasure and practicality.
What does this mean for you? More convenience, more fun, and perhaps, a little less stress as we navigate island life. Keep an eye out for those ice cream bikes—they’ll be hard to miss.
That's the word from City Hall.
