Your neighbors filed 9,864 airplane noise complaints. You too?

Okay so, Chi-Town on the wire — you already know.

### Your city is buzzing with airplane noise and it shows

Nah nah nah, let me explain. The latest 311 service requests data just dropped, and it's wild. While "information only calls" always top the list, what’s actually got people fired up? Aircraft noise complaints, for real. We’re talking 9,864 requests. That's almost six times more than graffiti removal, and ten times more than potholes! It’s like, people are trying to sleep, trying to live, and all they hear is planes over their heads.

What else is bugging us?

* Graffiti Removal Request: 1,606

* Pothole in Street Complaint: 1,067

* Garbage Cart Maintenance: 1,052

* Rodent Baiting/Rat Complaint: 892

It makes you wonder, right? With all the talk about public safety and keeping our streets clean, people are really feeling the impact of those flight paths. I swear, sometimes it sounds like O'Hare is trying to land in my backyard. You gotta wonder if this will push City Hall to actually look at flight patterns, especially with all the new development permits we're seeing.
