### Heads up, the weather is about to get interesting

Well, my son, it looks like Mother Nature is about to remind us who's really in charge around here. The weather services are putting out statements about some active weather alerts for Halifax right now. We don't have the full skinny on what exactly that means — the specifics of the alerts haven't been released just yet — but when the folks who watch the sky start talking, you listen.

This isn't like a little drizzle off the harbour; these are the kind of warnings that make you think about whether you've got enough milk and bread, or if you filled up the car yesterday. Always a good idea to keep an eye on the forecasts, especially when you're thinking about that drive over the MacKay Bridge or if you're planning to catch the ferry across to Dartmouth.
