Your City Hall was too quiet this week. Why?

Your City Hall was a quiet place this past week

Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.

Look, this past week, it felt like City Hall was mostly caught in that prairie trance, just watching the sky. The wind howled and the clouds rolled by, and our civic leaders seemed to be doing much the same. There wasn't a lot of fresh movement or big announcements from the council chambers. It was a quieter stretch than usual, a chance for the dust to settle, you might say.

### Housing Talk Still Strong

Even with the quiet, conversations around housing in Lethbridge kept going strong. The Canadian Real Estate Association released some figures that got folks talking about what it takes to find a home here. It's a reminder that even when the official channels are slow, the everyday concerns of *Sik-ooh-kotok* — our Blackfoot name for the area around the Oldman River — stay right at the forefront.

* City Hall activity was minimal.

* Focus shifted to external housing reports.

* No major civic initiatives were announced.

For those of us living along the Oldman River, the quiet hum of City Hall just meant we were looking elsewhere for news that really matters to our homes and our families.
