Your LA streets are literally drowning in 9,200 trash calls

Your trash is literally LA's biggest headache

Okay so check it — City Hall's been swamped, like, no mames, with calls about our city looking a little… messy. According to the latest 311 service request data, "Item Pickups" and "Illegal Dumping Item Pickup" are, hands down, the biggest issues Angelenos are calling about. We're talking almost 9,200 requests for regular item pickups and over 7,300 for illegal dumping. That's *just* for illegal dumping, fam!

It's literally what everyone's talking about, you know? You drive down Sunset, like, right before you hit Echo Park, and you see old mattresses, couches, all sorts of junk just chilling on the sidewalk. And it's not just the Eastside, oye. People are fed up. Graffiti removal is up there too, with nearly 2,300 calls, but nothing beats the trash.

It means our neighborhoods, from Watts all the way to the Westside, are struggling with basic services, and residents are the ones trying to clean up. What's next? We gotta watch how City Hall responds. Are they gonna put more resources into sanitation, or are we just gonna keep calling 311?

That's the real LA, fam — east of the 110.
