### Your street might be cleaner soon no mames
The City Hall data just dropped, and what people are *actually* asking the city to fix? It's literally all about trash. Like, 311 requests for "Item Pickups" hit 8,576 and "Illegal Dumping Item Pickup" was right behind at 7,010. Ya sabes, that's almost 16,000 requests just for people wanting stuff cleaned up off the streets! And then "Graffiti Removal" was like, the next biggest thing with 2,828 requests.
It's clear what Angelenos are seeing when they step out their doors, whether you're in Boyle Heights or out in the Valley. It’s not fancy new pools or kitchen remodels that are topping the charts; those development permits are way lower, like for a pool equipment room on March 4th, 2015, or a kitchen remodel on March 5th, 2015. No, it's the basics. People want their neighborhoods clean. What this tells me is, if City Hall wants to make a real difference, they gotta focus on the basics — keeping our city looking good. Because that's the real LA, fam — east of the 110.
