What your neighbors really called 311 about
Okay so check it— everybody complains about City Hall, right? Like, they're always saying nobody does anything, or like, "What even *is* 311?" But when you actually look at the numbers, you see what Angelenos are actually worried about, ya sabes? What's really bugging people, not just what's trending on Twitter.
Here's the real talk from the latest 311 service request data:
* **Trash, trash, and more trash:** The top issue, by far, is "Item Pickups," with literally 8,237 requests. Then right after that, "Illegal Dumping Item Pickup" got almost 7,000 calls. No mames, that's a lot of couches on the sidewalk.
* **Information overload:** The next biggest categories were just "Information-Only" requests. Like, people just trying to figure stuff out. That's almost 10,500 calls combined. Makes you wonder what folks are trying to find out, right?
* **What else is on the list?** Graffiti Removal got 2,347 requests, and Homeless Encampment issues came in at 2,142.
It tells you what Angelenos are seeing when they step out their door — not just the pretty stuff. It’s what our city looks like *right now* to the people who live here. We'll see if the city actually responds to this mountain of trash requests, because that's the real LA, fam — east of the 110.
