Philly's 311 service just called your problems "Miscellaneous

Your Philly streets need help or nah?

Listen, if you been trying to get anything done in this city, you know how hard it is to get a hold of somebody. But the latest 311 service request numbers? They ain't even telling us what's up. It just says "Miscellaneous" for all the top issues. Like, what is that? Is it potholes on Girard Avenue? Is it folks dumping trash in vacant lots in West Philly? Is it a broken street light on 52nd Street? I'm not even gonna hold you, "Miscellaneous" sounds like a jawn they use when they don't wanna tell us what's really going on.

### What’s Really Up With These Numbers?

We need to know what kind of "Miscellaneous" issues are piling up in our neighborhoods. Knowing that tells us if the wooder main is burstin' or if the street sweepers ain't comin' through. How can youse fix a problem if you can't even name the jawn? This ain't about just numbers; it's about our daily lives. We see the issues when we're walking to the Clark Park farmer's market or trying to get a cheesesteak from John's Roast Pork.

What we gotta watch for is if City Hall ever decides to break down what these "Miscellaneous" requests actually are. Because right now, it just looks like they sweeping our problems under the rug.

That's the jawn, Philly — we don't do fake out here.

Kee.
