Philly 311's top issue is "miscellaneous." What does that even mean?

Philly's 311 service requests are wild, listen

Okay, listen, I'm just gonna lay this out for y'all, 'cause youse need to know what's really happening down at City Hall. We got the latest on the 311 service requests, and it's… *something*. According to the city's own data, "Miscellaneous" is the top reported issue. Not once, not twice, but *eight times* it's listed as a top concern. What does that even mean, 'miscellaneous'? It's like asking for wooder and they give you a whole jawn of nothin'.

### What Does "Miscellaneous" Even Mean Here?

I'm not even gonna hold you, this is the kinda jawn that makes you scratch your head. Is it potholes they ain't got a category for? Is it a rogue cheesesteak cart blocking the sidewalk? We pay taxes for real solutions, or nah? This "miscellaneous" thing is just a big old question mark over what our neighbors are actually tryin' to tell the city they need fixed.

* "Miscellaneous" requests: ?

* "Miscellaneous" requests: ?

* "Miscellaneous" requests: ?

* And so on... eight times!

It's clear people are reachin' out for help, but if the city can't even categorize the issues, how they gonna solve 'em? We need some transparency on what these "miscellaneous" calls are actually about. Otherwise, it just feels like they're sweepin' our problems under the rug, or somethin'. We gotta watch this jawn closely and demand clearer reporting.

That's the jawn, Philly — we don't do fake out here.
