Your ice cream just got two new bike lanes.

Your sweet tooth just got a whole lot cooler

Good morning from the island — we're still here, the orcas were spotted at Active Pass, and honestly, life is fine.

Well, here's the thing about what's happening down at City Hall: it seems our love for frozen treats is officially on the move. We've got two new business licenses for HAZELS ICE CREAM LTD, both listed as 'BICYCLE VENDOR' and 'MOBILE'. This isn't just one new ice cream bike, is it? That’s two licenses, #40784 and #40447, for mobile operations. It suggests a doubling down on pedal-powered dessert delivery across Victoria, bringing those cold, sweet delights right to where we are, perhaps even in Beacon Hill Park, though I do wonder about the deer.

* **Hazel's Ice Cream:** Two new mobile bicycle vendor licenses.

* **Arcadia:** An amusement centre at 707 Johnson Street.

* **Downtown Veterinary Clinic:** A new professional veterinary practice at 736 Caledonia Avenue.

It’s a subtle shift, isn't it? Less about a fixed storefront and more about meeting us where we're enjoying the day. And then, there’s Arcadia, an 'ENTERTAINMENT - AMUSEMENT CENTRE' now licensed at 707 Johnson Street, license #48095. So, while we're chasing ice cream bikes, perhaps the younger crowd, or the young at heart, will be finding new amusement downtown. It feels like a small but significant nod to how we like to enjoy ourselves here on the island – outdoors, accessible, and with a touch of simple pleasure.

This movement towards more mobile services and new entertainment options speaks to a city adapting to how its residents live and play. Perhaps we'll see more businesses following suit, making our neighbourhoods even more walkable and delightful.
