Your Chicago neighbors made 8,953 noise complaints. Are you next?

Your neighbors are really mad about the noise, for real.

Okay so, Chi-Town on the wire – you already know. Let's talk about what's happening, like, right now. Forget about the big stuff for a second, because the 311 service requests are telling us what's really bugging people on the ground.

### Your Neighbors Are Calling

According to the latest 311 data, the number one *actual complaint* people are making isn't potholes, it's aircraft noise. Yeah, you heard me. Almost 9,000 requests for aircraft noise complaints. That's almost four times the number of potholes people are calling about. Think about that, mija. You got people in their homes, trying to sleep, trying to have dinner, and all they hear is planes overhead. It’s like, who's even listening to these complaints? Are they just going into a black hole? Because 8,953 complaints is not a small number, and people are clearly fed up. They’re calling 311, and for what? Just to have it logged?

* **Top Complaint:** Aircraft Noise (8,953 requests)

* **Potholes:** 2,522 requests

* **Graffiti Removal:** 2,045 requests

And then you got these lobbyists, right? Neil Bluhm, Matthew Allee, Johanna Chacon – they're still out here, active through 2025 and 2026. You gotta wonder what they’re pushing for while regular folks are just trying to get some peace and quiet, or a decent street to drive on. We need to watch what these big players are doing, because while they're talking to City Hall, the everyday calls are piling up.
