Regina housing prices are flying. Can you still afford it?

Your housing market just won't quit, eh?

This is Regina — yeah, we know what it sounds like, and we've heard your joke. Now sit down and listen.

*Tânisi* Regina. Darlene Chicken-Lawson here, giving you the rundown of what we’ve been chatting about this week from City Hall. It's been a week, *oh for sure*, where the housing market has pretty much taken over all our conversations, hasn't it?

### The Housing Hustle

We've been talking a lot about how homes here in Regina, especially around areas like the Cathedral Village and those new builds out in Harbour Landing, they're just flying off the market. Prices, they're not quite Saskatoon levels yet, but they're climbing steady. We’re seeing:

* Multiple offers on decent family homes.

* First-time buyers feeling the pinch, big time.

* More discussion about affordable housing initiatives from council.

It's making folks wonder if Regina is still that affordable prairie city we bragged about, eh? We’re all trying to figure out what this means for our neighbours, for our kids, for folks trying to make a good life right here at home.

That’s your Regina City Hall recap for this week. *Kinanâskomitin*.
