Your city's getting an arcade AND two new ice cream bikes.

Good morning from the island — we're still here, the orcas were spotted at Active Pass, and honestly, life is fine.

### Ice Cream Dreams and Arcade Streams for Victoria

Well, here's the thing about what your City Hall has been up to. While you were enjoying the sunrise over the Olympic Mountains, new ventures are bubbling up, according to the latest business licences. What truly caught my eye? Two distinct entries for HAZELS ICE CREAM LTD, both as a 'BICYCLE VENDOR.' This means, presumably, two different mobile operations, or perhaps a second push for the same delightful idea. Licences #40784 and #40447 are both for mobile businesses, meaning Hazel’s could be cycling through Beacon Hill Park or along the Dallas Road waterfront very soon.

But it's not all sweet treats. Arcadia, an 'ENTERTAINMENT - AMUSEMENT CENTRE,' just secured Licence #48095 for 707 Johnson Street. An amusement centre downtown? What does that even mean for the neighbourhood, especially with the charm of Fort Street's antique district just a few blocks away? It suggests a different kind of energy is moving into the core. Keep an eye out for these new spots; they’re the small shifts that reshape the flavour of our city.
