Your City Hall is building something, or nah?
Listen, y'all wanna know what's going down with the city's building permits? I'm not even gonna hold you, the latest jawn from City Hall is… quiet. Like, *real* quiet. You'd think with all the talk about development and new businesses popping up from Fishtown to South Philly, we'd see some action. But the latest data on permits? It's all N/A, N/A, N/A. We got no ZP_USE (zoning use permits), no BP_FIRESUP (fire suppression permits), no BP_ALTER (alteration permits), and no EP_ELECTRL (electrical permits) to report on today.
That's wild, right? Usually, you see some kind of movement, especially with all the new spots trying to get their footing on Passyunk Avenue or the 52nd Street corridor. Is this a pause, or just a slow week for filing? We gotta ask ourselves, what's really happening behind the scenes if nothing's officially moving through the system? Are they just letting these permits sit on someone's desk at City Hall, or is the whole system backed up, or what?
That's the jawn, Philly — we don't do fake out here.
